Hi, I’m Christina. I have a pet rabbit named Rory, a scar shaped like a smile on my hand, and a penchant for embarrassing myself. Welcome to my experiment.
For the past couple years I’ve been calling myself a writer and yet recently not a lot of writing has been happening. A few days ago I sat on the beach getting sun burnt while attempting to finish those last two chapters of my book and I had an epiphany. Every single author in those little paragraphs on the last page or so always talks about the long process of getting published, and the discipline it takes. I realized that I was in desperate need of this type of discipline and so Project 365 was born. As this descriptive, yet simple title suggests, for the next year I am going to post at least one piece of my original writing every day. Hopefully, having this blog will give me some much needed accountability to my writing, whether it’s because I don’t wanna disappoint my readers or because I don’t want to mess up the aesthetic I got going on here. Either way, I think this could work.
So for the next 365 days I’ll be posting traditional blog posts and journal entries, poems, short stories, creative non-fic essays, and maybe (if I’m feeling bold that day) and excerpt from some of the novels I’ve been trying to write since I was 16.
Also, if you saw any poetry on here that you liked and are interested in seeing some more, you can click the link that is hopefully gonna appear right below this that will take you to my Hello Poetry blog 🙂 https://hellopoetry.com/christina-calvano/
Thanks for hanging out!
